Note
Attention Atlanta drivers: GET OVER. When you get in the far left lane and then just cruise there for miles and miles? You are the reason traffic gets backed up and I have to pass you, dangerously, on the right. Sure, you may be going over the speed limit, but you're still moving five to 10 miles per hour slower than everyone else and you make me want to STAB.
The left lane is for passing. Read it, live it, love it.
(I also managed to bore even myself with yesterday's entry. Sorry about that.)

One of the first things my ol'man told me when teaching me to drive was, "It's your job to obey the law, not enforce it." I hear his words everytime I'm stuck behind one of the asses inwhich your post is directed.
Posted by dpb on March 12, 2006 10:17 PMI read/heard somewhere that some state was considering making the "left lane for passing only" an actual law (on Boortz maybe?) and while I would like GA to do that, it's not really feasible in Atlanta during rush hour. It's when it's 8 a.m. on Sunday and the connector is wide open and people STILL get all the way left and just sit there till their exit when they then have to cross back over six lanes of traffic that is moving 75 mph.
Posted by Hannah on March 13, 2006 09:23 AMThat drives me crazy! Colorado just passed a left for passing only law and I think NJ might have one too.
Posted by Brenda on March 13, 2006 11:08 AMI agree. Left lane as passing only during rush hour is impossible in Atlanta. All the other lanes would be so backed up that everyone would be trying to get to the left lane to pass ... well, the entire traffic jam. I see this law causing more problems than helping anything out...
