I realized this morning that I've barely shared any of my Spain adventures. Hello, I carried a travel journal around partly for y'all. Luckily Miranda is a writer herself, so it was perfectly appropriate, and expected, for us to just plop down wherever and pull out our notebooks.
And we did - in cathedrals, museums, train stations, buses, cafes. It was completely European. Actually, the best was sitting in front of Goya's Jupiter in the Museo Prado in Madrid. It was dimly lit and the artist's madness surrounded me. Of course, it might've been interesting to have gotten squashed into a junior high tour like Miranda. I think she even raised her hand and asked a question.
When I got back I basically went straight to Austin (we arrived at 10 p.m. on Sunday, I departed again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday), and there was a lot going on when I got back from Texas. Spain sort of got pushed to the wayside. But there are some great stories and memories I'll cherish forever.
I'm not going to upload them all, obviously, but I will do them in order.
Also, I know I'm missing accents and such on some of the Spanish phrases etc. If anyone knows how to do them, please let me know. Gracias! (See, like the upside down exclamation and whatnot.)
So get started.
And there's always the chance this will only be interesting to Miranda.
On Wednesday, March 7, we met up with T and her girlfriends in Barcelona.
To be continued. . .
