Because
I didn't get around to posting any of them earlier.

This photo doesn't really
do it justice, but it's the one of the only ones I took with my
digital camera. It might be years before I develop the dozen or
so I took with my other camera. So, so beautiful. Did I mention
that the pool and beach chairs came with a little flag that you
raised when you were ready for another daiquiri? Well, they did.
Long live the Ritz-Carlton.

I made
candy!
The week before I left
town for Christmas I made Buckeyes (chocolate and peanut butter
balls) for some of my coworkers. They're just peanut butter, butter
and powdered sugar covered in chocolate. I sort of combined my
mother's recipe and one I found in the paper and I had too much
sugar and too little peanut butter, so the above mixture was actually
too dry. It was the consistency of very cold, dry snow. Delicious,
peanut butter-flavored snow, but too fine to roll into balls.
But I fixed it. (And yes, I did get sugar everywhere.) Plus, I
never knew how much one might lick ones fingers while making treats.
(Sorry if you got some and that sentence grossed you out.)

I'm
chilling my balls.
My fridge looks so sad.
Why, whatever made you think I'm a single girl? The Diet Coke
and calorie-free butter spray perhaps?

I don't
really know what I'm doing.

My
badass makeshift double broiler. I'm a genius!

"I
smell peanut butter!"

My
Christmas cards.
The holder is exploding
now, mostly thanks to the M+1 exchange! And yes, that Texas ornament
stays on my doorknob year round.

Christmas
plates.
I made these, and a
few other things, circa 2000/2001 when I was big into my pottery
painting kick. Okay, okay, so my mom painted the top one.

This
one is my favorite.

My
one lonely stocking.

My
